ABOUT VICKI

Vicki is a professional singer and musician with over 15 years’ experience, establishing a broad and esteemed career performing with jazz big bands, rock function bands, Scottish folk bands and tribute acts at weddings, corporate functions, musical theatre cabarets and other private parties and bespoke events around Scotland and beyond.

Her work ethic, musicianship and versatility adapting to any brief has opened many doors - she is a regular vocalist with famous bagpipe rock band the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, performing at many events across the UK together. Later this year, she will be joining them at various festivals across the US Midwest (see Upcoming for more information).

As a soloist, Vicki enjoys accompanying herself on guitar or piano. A vivacious performer, she adapts to the atmosphere in the room, and loves engaging with audiences and taking requests all while performing to the high standard she is known for. This bespoke blueprint and versatility as a performer make her the perfect choice for any event or function.

Vicki began performing as a teenager; whilst classically training in piano and voice, she began performing in local musicals and with the National Youth Choir of Scotland, gaining regional recognition and receiving invitations to perform at local events and functions.

Vicki continued performing whilst studying Medicine at the University of St Andrews, where she was awarded the Classical Soprano Agnes Maclean Welsh Vocal Scholarship. During this time, she also won Best Soloist at the Voice Festival UK in 2012, and was frequently seen in musicals across the central belt of Scotland. This created connections and musical kinship, propelling her music career alongside practicing medicine in the West Highlands of Scotland.
